Draft minutes of the May 5, 2020, meeting of the Hunters Green Cluster Association Board have been posted on this web site under the Resource Center tab on the left-hand menu. These meeting will be approved at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board on July 7, 2020. This will in all probably be a "virtual" meeting held via Zoom. Any comments or questions concerning these minutes should be sent to Secretary@huntersgreen.org.

Corrected Minutes for March 3, 2020 Board Meeting

A correction has been made to previously posted draft minutes of the March 3, 2020, HGCA Board meeting. The corrected changes the term "primary owner" to "key executive" in reference to designating Treasurer Charles Colby as primary signatory on our Wells Fargo banking account. The revised document is located under Resource Center on this web site.

Due to current circumstances, the May 5th regular meeting of the HGCA Board of Directors will be held via Zoom. Starting time will be 7:00 pm rather than our usual 7:30 pm. Anyone is welcome to join, though attendance will be capped at 100. It is unlikely that this will be an issue, but we need to let you know. Below is the agenda for this meeting and below that is information on how to join the meeting via Zoom.

The next regular meeting of the HGCA Board of Directors will be held March 3, 2020, at the Reston Association Conference Center, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive, at 7:30 pm. We usually are assigned Room #124, but please check room signs.
All owners and residents are encouraged to attend. Following is the agenda:

HGCA Design Standards Committee Sets 1st Meeting

The first meeting of the HGCA Design Standards Committee will be held Thurs., Feb. 27 at 7:00 pm. Location is the home of Jean Murphy, 11750 IRR. 

This will largely be an organizational meeting with general discussion about the committee's charter and first steps. Five people have volunteered to serve on this committee. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact one of the board members below and/or plan to attend the Feb. 27 meeting.

All meetings of this committee will be open and any interested residents are welcome to attend. If you plan to attend, please let Jean Murphy know (jeanmurphy37@gmail.com) so she can make sure there are enough chairs.

Here is additional information about this committee:

At the Nov. 5, 2019, regular board meeting, the HGCA Board of Directors chartered a new Cluster Standards Committee to help the Board define priorities that relate to existing cluster standards, which can be found at www.huntersgreen.org. We are now seeking volunteers to serve on this important committee. Please review the information below. If you would like to work with this committee, contact Stephen Ashby, who will be the Board liaison for this committee (stephenashby@hotmail.com), or Jean Murphy, who will assist (jeanmurphy37@gmail.com).

Specific responsibilities of the Cluster Standards Committee include, but are not limited to the following:

·       Review existing cluster standards for clarity and consider whether some existing standards may need updates or changes

·       Collect information relative to adherence to standards and identify standards where non-compliance is prevalent

·       Recommend ways to communicate the importance of standards adherence to owners

·       Suggest ways to correct current violations without placing an undue burden on homeowners

·       Update information on the website relative to cluster standards

·       Make other design recommendations appropriate to the cluster.

The Cluster Standards Committee will consist of cluster members in good standing and a Board liaison, who may choose to be assisted by a second Board member.  The Board liaison(s) advises but does not influence or vote.

Willing members of the committee may be tasked with action items to be researched in between regular committee/Board of Directors meetings. Volunteers for this committee are asked to sign on for the life of this committee, which is expected to last through 2020. This is needed for continuity and to discourage members who may want to serve on the committee only while certain standards are under review.

The committee will be structured, which means that the committee will elect its own chair and members will be approved by the Board liaison.  All meetings will be announced in advance and will be open to residents who wish to attend.  Minutes will be taken at all meetings. The conduct and authority of all cluster committees are defined in our governing documents.  It should be noted that all committees work at the pleasure of the Board of Directors, and in no way does the Board delegate its authority to the committee or allow a committee member to make any fiduciary or any other commitment on behalf of Hunters Green Cluster.

Draft minutes for the 2019 Annual Meeting and the regular meeting of the HGCA Board, held Jan. 13, 2020, at the Reston Association Conference Center, have been posted. Scroll down the menu to the left and click on the Resource Center tab to review. If anyone has comments or corrections, please send an email to secretary@huntersgreen.org. The 2019 Annual Meeting minutes will be approved at the 2020 Annual Meeting in December. The Jan. 13 regular board meeting minutes will be approved at the next Board Meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 7:30 pm, at the Reston Association Conference Center, 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive.
